Womenswear Line Development - Anecdote
Fall/Winter Collection: Between the Lines
A semester-long line development project building a contemporary knitwear brand from concept to consumer, sponsored by Cotton Incorporated with a focus on innovative cotton finishes and sensory-driven design.

BACKGROUND

Anecdote is built around the idea that small moments carry the most weight. The brand targets a contemporary customer who moves fast but wants to feel grounded. The collection, "Between the Lines," uses texture, ease, and cotton-forward fabrication to create pieces designed for the in-between parts of daily life. Ponchos serve as the signature item that Anecdote is known for: versatile, transitional, and reflective of the brand's layered ethos.

THE ASK


Build a full contemporary collection from brand concept to consumer-ready line, using Cotton Incorporated's sustainable and innovative cotton finishes as the material foundation.

  • Develop brand identity, target customer, and concept direction
  • Source fabrics and trims using Turkey sourcing guidelines with accurate costing
  • Build tech packs/spec sheets, cost sheets, line sheets, and a structured assortment plan
  • Create a marketing strategy and budget including a collaboration and popup event concept
